Melaleuca leucadendra

Scent description: Fresh, somewhat fruity camphor-like aroma. Cajeput blends well with bergamot, cardamom, geranium, lavender, rose, thyme and nutmeg.

Uses: Cajeput essential oil is helpful in treating oily skin, asthma, bronchitis and rheumatism. It improves mood, increases resistance to infections and is considered a good oil to use for unwinding and relieving achy muscles.

Precautions: Cajeput may cause skin irritation.


Elettaria cardamomum

Scent description: Cardamom essential oil has a warm, sweet and spicy scent. It blends well with coriander, geranium, juniper berry, lemon and myrtle.

Uses: Cardamom can be used to aid digestion, ease coughs and relieve muscle spasms. It’s also a bacteria fighter and can relieve swelling and irritation that results from inflammation. Cardamom essential oil can improve concentration and reduce drowsiness and irritability.

Precautions: May cause skin irritation. Be sure to dilute.

Carrot seed

Daucus carota

Scent description: Sweet, earthy aroma, somewhat pungent. Carrot seed essential oil blends well with bergamot, juniper berry, lavender, lemon, neroli, orange, petitgrain and rosemary.

Uses: Carrot seed is detoxifying and is used to relieve skin problems. It is particularly effective in relieving dry skin and helping to restore elasticity. Carrot seed can be used for eczema and rashes also.


Cedrus atlantica

Scent description: Cedarwood essential oil has a warm, woody scent with a hint of camphor.

Uses: Cedarwood is used to treat respiratory infections, sinus and lung congestion. Cedarwood essential oil is an astringent that dries oily or blemished skin when used in a facial wash. It relieves eczema, psoriasis, skin inflammation and dandruff. It is also a good stress reliever.

Precautions: Cedarwood should be avoided during pregnancy.

Chamomile (German)

Matricaria recutia

Scent description: A sweet and herbaceous apple-like scent. It adds a warm, long lasting undertone in perfumes. Chamomile oil blends well with bergamot, jasmine, neroli, and rose.

Uses: Chamomile is a soothing agent, it’s used to relax the mind and body. It reduces inflammation caused by burns, eczema or skin rashes. Chamomile numbs the pain of stiff joints and cramping muscles when used as a massage oil.

Chamomile (Roman)

Chamaemelum nobile

Scent description: Sweet, fruity herbaceous aroma. Roman Chamomile blends well with lavender, bergamot, jasmine, clary sage, eucalyptus and rosemary.

Uses: Roman Chamomile essential oil can be used to treat headache, insomnia, acne, menstrual problems, dermatitis and inflammation. This essential oil is relaxing and will calm nerves.
